GovAI Education Group is a DBA (doing business as) of Color Me Happy Studio LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect when you use www.govaiedu.com(the “Site”) and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We've written this in plain English on purpose. If something here is unclear or you have a privacy question, contact us at govaiedu@gmail.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run our business and serve you well.

Information you give us directly

Contact and lead info — name, work email, organization, role, and any details you share in a form (contact, training inquiry, resource download, workshop registration).
Booking details — preferred dates, training format, team size, and notes.
Payment information — collected and processed entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials. We do receive the last four digits, card brand, and ZIP for receipts and dispute handling.
Communications — emails you send us, including reply content.
Workshop registrations — name, email, and any custom fields you fill in when registering for a paid workshop.

Information collected automatically

Basic site analytics — pages visited, referring URL, approximate location (city-level), device type. This is aggregated and used to improve the Site.
Cookies — we use a single HttpOnly session cookie calledgovai_admin_sess for our internal admin login. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

To respond to your inquiries, deliver requested resources, confirm bookings, and provide training.
To process payments, send invoices, and email download links or workshop confirmations.
To send transactional emails (receipts, calendar invites, reminders) related to services you bought.
To improve our content, plan future workshops, and understand which resources help the most.
To meet legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting, fraud prevention).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade contact lists. We do not use your data to train AI models.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only with the third-party tools that make our services work. Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Supabase — secure database hosting for leads, bookings, and registrations. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Resend — transactional email delivery (download links, confirmations, notifications). See Resend's Privacy Policy.
Vercel — Site hosting and CDN. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Google (Calendar & Meet) — when you register for a workshop or confirm a training, we create calendar events with Google Meet links. Your name and email may be added to the calendar event so the invite can land on your calendar.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GovAI Education Group, our customers, or the public.

4. Data Retention

Leads and bookings — retained while the relationship is active, plus up to seven (7) years for tax and accounting purposes.
Workshop registrations — retained for at least two (2) years after the session.
Email subscriber data — retained until you unsubscribe.
Anonymized analytics — retained indefinitely.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
Opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us directly).
Request a copy of your information in a portable format.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults working in professional or governmental settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including:

HTTPS encryption on every page.
Encrypted storage of all database records (Supabase managed PostgreSQL).
Stripe-hosted payment pages so card data never touches our servers.
Time-limited download links (24-hour expiry) for resources you purchase or request.
Limited internal access — only the founder accesses customer records.

No method of online transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

8. International Users

Our services are operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we'll notify users who have given us an email address.
